WHAT IS ARTIST DEVELOPMENT?

helping artists be great at what they do

put simply:

CREATING ARTISTS

Artist development is a term commonly used in the music industry to describe the process of helping improve artists and equipping them with the skills they need to create a successful career. Encompassing a wide range of skills and knowledge areas, artist development typically includes both artistic skill development encompassed in vocal coaching, songwriting, performance coaching, as well as business and industry skills like building a brand (image, style, etc.), growing a fanbase, career or project planning, and more.

WILD HEART CREATIVES

ARTIST DEVELOPMENT

Our co-founders Nick Leech and Simone Dawson saw the gap between education and industry where upcoming and emerging artists wanting to or entering the arts sector lacked essential skills required for a creative career. So together they took the concept of artist development and simply said “…why doesn’t that exist for all artists?”

And very soon Wild Heart Creatives was born.

We combined the concept of music industry artist development and the arts/creative industries as a whole to create a training ground for the holistic development of todays upcoming and emerging artists in music, theatre, and the arts.

Instilled by our co-founders and their unique methods, positive artist development should focus on three key areas:

Skill Development

Network Creation
